Men's tennis nipped by NJIT 4-3

Bearcats split six singles matches but host Highlanders take decisive doubles point

NEWARK, N.J. - Host NJIT took the doubles point and after the teams split the six singles matches, that slim margin stood as Binghamton men's tennis lost 4-3 to the Highlanders at Naimoli Tennis Center.

The Bearcats received singles wins from freshman No. 2 William Morais Binnie, freshman No. 3 Ronin Lotlikar and sophomore No. 4 Kyle Weekes. 

Binnie and Lotlikar won for the second straight day and for Lotlikar, it was his team-high 11th win of the year. 

Binghamton begins four straight home matches with a 7 p.m. tilt against Bryant Friday at the Lane - Starke Tennis Center.
