Women’s Basketball Hosts Vermont

Bearcats and Catamounts tip off on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES
 
- Binghamton (13-14, 6-8 AE) lost 62-55 to UMass Lowell on Saturday afternoon at the Events Center. Senior forward Clare Traeger led the Bearcats scoring with 12 points. Sophomore forward Genevieve Coleman and redshirt freshman Jadyn Weltz added 11 points apiece. Traeger also led with eight rebounds while Weltz finished with seven assists.
 
- Bowman ranks fifth in the America East in scoring (12.7 ppg.), Redshirt freshman guard Jadyn Weltz is first in both assists (4.3 apg.) and steals (2.5 spg.). Traeger is second with 8.7 rebounds per game.
 
- Redshirt freshman guard Ella Wanzer ranks first in the America East in three-point field goals per game (2.5) and three-point field goal percentage (.412). In addition, she is ranked No. 26 in the nation in three-point field goal percentage.
 
- As a team, the Bearcats are first in the America East in steals (8.78 spg.) Binghamton is also second in rebounding (36.9 rpg.), third in assists (13.07 apg.) and ranked fourth in scoring (61.4 ppg.)
 
- Vermont (20-6, 12-2 AE) won 85-73 at home against NJIT on Saturday. Delaney Richason and Emma Utterback both lead the Catamounts with 21 points each and followed by Anna Olson with 15. Bella Vito grabbed 10 rebounds and Olson also had three blocks. 
 
- Olson is first in the America East in field goal percentage (.517.). Utterback ranks second in assists (4.1 apg.) and number four in scoring (13.8 ppg.). Catherine Gilwee is second in 3-point field goals per game (2.3pp.) and Richason ranks six in blocked shots (1.0 bpg.). 
 
- Vermont leads the all-time series against Binghamton 27-17, having won the past four meetings. Most recently, the Bearcats lost in Vermont 63-56 on Jan. 25. Weltz led the Bearcats in scoring with 12 points and 4 assists. Richason led the Catamounts with 21 points, six rebounds and four assists.
