LOWELL, N.Y. - In another offensive slugfest that featured a combined 27 runs and 31 hits, host UMass Lowell (19-33, 11-13 America East) held off Binghamton baseball (26-21, 12-11 AE) 14-13 in the regular-season finale Saturday afternoon at LeLacheur Park.
The Bearcats wound up tied for third in the America East standings and will carry the No. 3 seed into the conference tournament, which BU will host beginning Wednesday at the Bearcats Baseball Complex. Binghamton will play No. 6 NJIT in the 5 p.m. game, following the matchup between No. 4 Bryant and No. 5 UMass Lowell.
