Women’s Basketball Hosts Bryant in Youth Day Game

Bearcats and Bulldogs Tip Off Thursday at 11 a.m.

STORY LINES
 
- The game between Binghamton and Bryant marks the Bearcats' first-ever Youth Day Game. The event is open to grades K-8 in the Binghamton area.
 
- Binghamton (5-9, 0-1 AE) lost 70-55 to UMBC last Thursday at home in its conference opener last Thursday. Senior forward Kendall Bennett scored a team-best 11 points while redshirt sophomore guard Jadyn Weltz dished out a game-high six assists.
 
- Redshirt sophomore guard Ella Wanzer leads the Bearcats and is eighth in the America East with 12.5 points per game. Wanzer is also second with 3.0 three-point field goals per game. Weltz, meanwhile, leads the conference with 4.9 assists per game. 
 
- As a team, Binghamton ranks first in the America East with 7.7 three-point field goals per game. The Bearcats are also first with 15.5 assists per contest and second in the 65.2 points per game.
 
- Bryant (7-8, 0-2 AE) was edged 64-63 at home against UMBC last Saturday. Martina Boba posted 24 points while Mia Mancini added 19 points.
 
- Mancini, who has been named the America East Rookie of the Week five times this season - including last week - ranks second in the America East with 15.8 points per game. As a team, the Bulldogs are third in the conference in scoring (64.6 ppg.) and second in assists (15.0 apg.).

- Binghamton has won all five previous meetings against Bryant. Last year, the Bearcats won 57-56 at the Events Center on New Years Day as well as 62-51 on the road.
