Women’s Basketball Hosts ACC Member Pittsburgh on Sunday

Bearcats and Panthers Tip Off at 1:30 p.m

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (2-2) lost 68-51 at Cornell on Thursday evening. Sophomore guard Leah Middleton netted 14 points - marking the second straight game that she has led the Bearcats in scoring. Redshirt junior guard Jadyn Weltz added 13 points while junior guard Kaia Goode finished with a game-high five steals.

- Weltz continues to lead the Bearcats and ranks eighth in the America East with 14.0 points per game. Middleton is averaging 11.3 points per game. Sophomore guard Bella Pucci, meanwhile, leads Binghamton in both rebounding (5.5 rpg.) and steals (2.8 spg.).

- As a team, Binghamton ranks third in the America East in scoring (64.3 ppg.) and is second in three-point field goal percentage (.338). The Bearcats' .735 free throw percentage also ranks second in the conference.

- Pittsburgh (2-1) lost 82-54 at No. 15 West Virginia on Tuesday night. Kahdija Faye - who transferred from Texas during the offseason, finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Lauren Rust added a career-best 12 points.

- For the season, Faye leads the Panthers with 15.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. 

- Pittsburgh is one of four Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) programs that the Bearcats have faced - with Syracuse, Notre Dame and Miami (Fla.) being the others. The Panthers, however, are just the second ACC school to visit the Events Center. Miami won 68-52 at Binghamton back on Dec. 19, 2009.

- In the only previous meeting between the two programs, Pittsburgh defeated Binghamton 73-62 at home on Dec. 2, 2023. Weltz posted 11 points and six assists in that game.
