Women’s Basketball Travels to Canisius

Bearcats and Golden Griffs Tip Off Monday at 11 a.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (3-3) won 65-54 at LIU on Friday. Redshirt junior guard Jadyn Weltz led four Bearcat players in double figures with a game-high 15 points. Junior guard Kaia Goode turned in an 11-point, seven steal, four-rebound, four-assist, one-block performance while both junior forward Camryn Fauria and sophomore guard Yanniah Boyd each added 12 points.

- Weltz leads the Bearcats and ranks fifth in the America East with 13.7 points per game. Sophomore forward Leah Middleton is second on the squad with 10.8 points per contest. Goode leads the conference in steals (3.0 spg.) while Weltz is seventh in assists (2.8 apg.) and fourth in steals (2.2 spg.).

- As a team, Binghamton ranks third in the America East in scoring (63.0 ppg.) and first with 10.5 steals per game. The Bearcats are also second with a .760 free throw percentage.

- Canisius (1-4) lost 62-50 to visiting Buffalo on Friday night, Jaela Johnson - who leads the Golden Griffs with 9.0 points per game - scored a team-best 14 points against the Bulls. Shariah Gailes added six points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

- Canisius leads the all-time series 9-4. Last season, the Golden Griffs won 71-64 at the Events Center on Dec. 8. Current sophomore guard Bella Pucci netted 11 points for the Bearcats in that game. In the most recent meeting at Canisius, the Bearcats won 75-72 on Nov. 20, 2022.
