Women’s Basketball heads to Siena

Bearcats and Saints tip off Sunday at 2 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (5-4) lost 74-51 at Buffalo last Wednesday. Sophomore guards Bella Pucci and Yanniah Boyd each scored in double figures with a team-best 10 points. Pucci also grabbed eight rebounds while junior guard Kaia Goode contributed
nine points, five assists and four steals.

- Redshirt junior guard Jadyn Weltz leads the Bearcats and ranks eighth in the America East with 11.9 points per game. She is also tied for third in steals (2.4 spg.) and eighth in assists (2.8 apg.). Kaia Goode is second in the conference in steals, averaging 2.9 per game. She also ranks sixth in assists with 2.9 per game. 

- As a team, Binghamton leads the conference with 10.22 steals per game. The Bearcats are also third in scoring (62.1 ppg.). Additionally, they are in fourth with a 74.8 free-throw percentage. 

- Siena (3-4) picked up its third consecutive win on Saturday against UAlbany. The Saints reclaimed the Albany Cup in the 70-65 victory over the previously undefeated Great Danes. Ahniysha Jackson led the Saints in scoring with 23 points. Teresa Seppala added in 17 points and eight rebounds, while Ana Conde secured a team-high nine rebounds.

- Seppala leads the Saints with an average of 17.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. Ahniysha Jackson is also dishing out 2.7 assists per game. 

- The series between Binghamton and Siena is tied 5-5. Most recently, the Saints won 73-64 on Nov. 9, 2023 at the Events Center. The Bearcats got their last win against Siena, 59-55 at home on Nov. 9, 2021.
