Women’s Basketball Hosts SUNY Geneseo

Bearcats and Knights tip off Monday at 5 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (7-5) defeated Molloy 67-40 back on Dec. 20 at the Events Center. Sophomore guard Bella Pucci led the charge for the Bearcats, scoring a career-high 17 points and grabbing a game-high 13 rebounds. Sophomore guard Yanniah Boyd added 15 points and secured eight rebounds. 

- Redshirt junior guard Jadyn Weltz leads the Bearcats and ranks ninth in the America East with 11.6 points per game. She also places third in steals (2.3 spg.) and sixth in assists (3.0 apg.). Bella Pucci ranks eighth in rebounding, averaging 5.8 boards per game. Junior guard Kaia Goode is second in the America East in steals with 2.3 per contest.

- As a team, Binghamton leads the conference with 9.17 steals per game. The Bearcats also rank second in rebounding (35.9 rpg.) and third in scoring (62.5 ppg.).

- Geneseo (4-4) lost 67-64 in its last game at Hamilton College back on Dec. 3. Audrey Hintz led the Knights in scoring with 17 points. Grace Galgano and Kristin Suydam also reached double figures in scoring, netting 11 and 10 points respectively. Galgano also led the team with eight rebounds while Mackenzie Reigle dished out a team-high five assists.

- Galgano leads the Knights in rebounds, averaging 8.3. Reigle is tops in assists, dishing out 6.0 per game. She also leads in steals with 2.0 per game. Kiley Snow leads Geneseo in scoring, with 11.6 points per game.

- SUNY Geneseo leads the all-time series 12-8, however, this will be the first meeting between the two teams at the Division 1 level. Binghamton's last matchup against Geneseo was on March 1, 1997. The Bearcats won that contest on the road 71-65. (SUNYAC).
