Women’s Basketball Hosts UMass Lowell

Bearcats and River Hawks Tip off Thursday at 6:07 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (11-15, 6-7 AE) defeated NJIT 68-48 on Saturday. Sophomore guard Camryn Fauria scored a game-high 16 points and grabbed a game-high seven rebounds.

- Graduate student guard Denai Bowman leads the Bearcats and is tied for No. 10 in the America East with 11.0 points per game. Redshirt sophomore guard Ella Wanzer ranks second in the conference with 2.3 three-point field goals per game and a .374 three-point field goal percentage. Redshirt sophomore guard Jadyn Weltz, meanwhile, is first with 4.5 assists per game and is tied for first with a 1.5 assists-to-turnover ratio.

- As a team, Binghamton is tied for third in the America East with 62.0 points per game. The Bearcats are also second with 6.7 three-point field goals per contest and third with an 0.98 assists-to-turnover ratio.

- UMass Lowell (4-20, 4-8 AE) was defeated 62-43 by Bryant on Saturday. Rayne Durant led the River Hawks with 10 points and six rebounds

- Mili Carrera leads UMass Lowell and ranks No. 14 in the conference with 9.9 points per game. Sydney Watkins, meanwhile, leads the America East with 2.8 steals per game and Durant is fourth with 1.1 blocks per contest.

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against the River Hawks 16-8. Earlier this season, Binghamton took a 70-65 decision in Lowell on Jan. 20.

Redshirt sophomore guard Ella Wanzer ranks sixth all-time in Binghamton program history with a .381 three-point field goal percentage (139-of-365).

Two different Binghamton players have dished out 10 assists in a game this year -- Jadyn Weltz against Canisius on Dec. 8 and Meghan Casey against Army on Dec 20.

Binghamton had two players record a double-double against NJIT on Feb. 1 - graduate student guard Denai Bowman (16 points & 11 rebounds) and junior forward Genevieve Coleman (10 points and 10 rebounds).

Redshirt sophomore guard Ella Wanzer has eight career games with 20 or more points. Most recently, she netted 24 points against New Hampshire on Jan. 24, 2024.

As a team, the Bearcats made a season-best 12 three-point field goals against St. Bonaventure on Nov. 18 and against Pittsburgh on Dec. 3.

Freshman guard Bella Pucci finished with a career-high 13 points and a career-best nine rebounds against Chestnut Hill on Dec. 30.

Graduate student forward Shannon O'Connor scored a season-high 14 points against Cornell on Nov. 29.

Redshirt sophomore guard Jadyn Weltz scored a season-high 20 points at UMass Lowell on Jan. 20.

Junior forward Genevieve Coleman scored 21 points against UMBC on Jan. 11.

Redshirt sophomore guard Ella Wanzer scored a career-high 36 points against Loyola on Nov. 12.

Graduate student forward Denai Bowman ranks eighth all time in program history with 88 blocks. In seventh place, with 95 career blocks, is Alicia Brennan.

Redshirt sophomore guard Ella Wanzer ranks ninth all-time in program history with 139 career three-point field goals. In eighth place, with 179 three-point field goals, is Cathy Mackin (1994-98).

Graduate student guard Denai Bowman ranks sixth all time in Binghamton program history with 1,445 career points. In fifth place, with 1,476 career points, is Kai Moon (2016-20).
