VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton wrestling team heads to Pennsylvania this weekend, where it will compete at both Franklin & Marshall and Drexel on Saturday.
The Bearcats split its two home duals last week, first defeating Hofstra 31-6 on Jan. 9, to take sole possession of first place in the EIWA's Independence Division. Then on Jan. 11, Binghamton took No. 19 Lehigh to the final match of their dual before falling 23-16.
Five Binghamton wrestlers are now in the national rankings, the most the team has had this season. Both
Brevin Cassella and
Cory Day gained two spots in the FloWrestling poll and one in the InterMat poll. Cassella is now ranked eighth and 13th in both rankings respectively, while Day is ranked 18th and 17th.
Will Ebert remains ranked 28th and 25th in each respective poll. Meanwhile,
Carson Wagner returned to the InterMat poll for 125 lbs., at No. 33.
Lastly, after winning both of his matches the prior week,

This comes after Baer defeated No. 27 Kyle Mosher of Hofstra 5-2 for his first collegiate ranked win. He followed that with a 9-1 major decision against Lehigh's Zeke Dubler two days later.
