Women’s Basketball Travels to Vermont

Bearcats and Catamounts Tip Off Thursday at 6 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (11-9, 3-4 AE) lost 68-54 to visiting Bryant on Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats had three players reach double figures, led by junior guard Kaia Goode with 12 points. Sophomore guard Bella Pucci added 11 points, eight rebounds and four steals, while fellow sophomore guard Yanniah Boyd contributed 10 points and six rebounds.

- Redshirt junior guard Jadyn Weltz leads Binghamton in scoring, ranking No. 13 in the America East with 10.2 points per game. She also places third in steals (2.1 spg.) and eighth in assists (3.0 apg.). Pucci ranks eighth in the conference with 5.5 rebounds per game.

- As a team, Binghamton leads the America East with 8.8 steals per game. The Bearcats are also strong on the boards, ranking second in rebounding with 35.3 per game. Binghamton is also fourth in scoring defense (58.6 ppg).

- Vermont (11-10, 6-1 AE) had four players score in double figures as it defeated UMBC 67-44 on Saturday afternoon on the road. Sarah Ericson led the Catamounts with 15 points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds. Catherine Gilwee notched 12 points and seven assists, while Anna Olson and Nikola Priede contributed 11 and 10 points respectively.

- Olson ranks fourth in the America East in scoring with an average of 13.8 points per game. Gilwee leads the conference in assists, averaging 4.0 per contest. Bella Vito places second in steals (2.1 spg.) and sixth in rebounding with 6.2 boards per game.

- As a team, Vermont ranks second in assists (13.9 apg.), blocks (3.3 bpg.) and scoring defense (55.7 ppg.). The Catamounts also sit fourth in scoring, putting up 61.3 points per game and sixth in steals with 6.9 per game. 

- Vermont leads the all time series 30-18. Earlier this season, the Catamounts won 55-46 at the Events Center on Jan. 16. The Bearcats' most recent victory against Vermont was a 66-57 triumph at home on Feb. 3, 2024.
