Women’s Basketball Hosts St. Bonaventure

Bearcats and Bonnies Tip Off Tuesday at 7 p.m. on SNY

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (2-0) defeated Bloomsburg 92-44 on Thursday night. Junior guard Bella Pucci led a balanced attack with a game-high 14 points against the Huskies. Junior forward Kendall Bennett turned in a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. As a team, Binghamton tied the program record with 25 steals.

- Pucci and Bennett are tied for the team lead in scoring with 13.0 ppg. Bennett is also first with 9.0 rebounds per night while senior guard Kaia Goode is dishing out 4.5 assists per contest. As a team, the Bearcats are averaging 24.5 steals per game.

- St. Bonaventure (2-0) won 74-56 at Niagara on Friday night. Laycee Drake finished with a game-high 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds in the victory. She was one of three Bonnie players to reach double figures in scoring against the Purple Eagles.

- Drake leads the Bonnies with 17.5 points per game so far this season while Kylie Buckley is pulling down a team-best 6.5 rebounds per night. Drake is also averaging 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest. 

- St. Bonaventure leads the all-time series against Binghamton 12-2. Most recently, the Bonnies won 82-61 at home on Nov. 9, 2024, shooting 59 percent from the field in the process. The Bearcats, however, took the last meeting at the Events Center, with a 73-65 decision on Nov. 18, 2023.
