Women’s Basketball Travels to No. 14 Michigan

Bearcats and Wolverines Square off Tuesday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (2-1) travels to Ann Arbor to face Michigan (3-0) for the first time since Nov. 14, 2015. The Wolverines won that contest 92-60.

- Tuesday matchup marks the fourth time that the Bearcats have gone up against a program from the Big Ten Conference. In addition to its two games at Michigan, Binghamton has traveled to Minnesota twice (Nov. 18, 2000 and Nov. 19, 2011).

- Michigan is the first nationally-ranked opponent Binghamton has faced since meeting No. 18 Marquette back on Dec. 17, 2018. The Wolverines are also the highest ranked team the Bearcats have played since traveling to second-ranked Notre Dame on Dec. 16, 2018. 

- In its most recent game, Binghamton lost 68-65 to St. Bonaventure last Tuesday night at the Events Center. Junior guard Bella Pucci scored a team-high 16 points while junior forward Kendall Bennett finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. Junior guard Kaia Goode, meanwhile, added nine points and dished out a team-best four assists.

- Pucci leads the Bearcats this season with 14.0 points per game while Bennett is averaging 13.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per contest. Goode ranks first with 4.3 assists per game while senior guard Meghan Casey has recorded 3.3 steals per night. 

- Michigan is coming off a 93-54 win over No. 18 Notre Dame on Saturday afternoon at the Shamrock Classic in Detroit. Olivia Olson led the way with 20 points, six rebounds and three assists.

- The Wolverines finished the 2024-25 season 23-11 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Olson was named the Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Year.
