Bearcats and Huskies Square Off Thursday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (1-0) defeated SUNY Geneseo 86-35 on Monday evening. Six Bearcat players reached double figures in scoring led by junior forward Kendall Bennett's game-high 16 points. As a team, Binghamton recorded 24 steals, which was one theft off the program record.

- All five starters from last year's America East quarterfinals were once again in the starting lineup on Monday against the Knights. Bennett was joined by senior guard Kaia Goode and junior guards Yanniah Boyd, Leah Middleton and Bella Pucci

- Bloomsburg (0-0) was defeated 83-59 on Monday night at Delaware. Since the Huskies compete at the NCAA Division II level, the game counted as an exhibition contest for them.

- The Huskies compete in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and were picked third in this year's preseason poll. Bloomsburg finished 18-12 last year.

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against Bloomsburg 4-2 - including a 3-0 margin since it moved up to the NCAA Division I level in 2001. Most recently, the Bearcats defeated the visiting Huskies 72-59 on Nov. 6, 2023.
