VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton wrestling team (1-0, 0-0 EIWA) will compete in the Events Center for the first time this season when the Bearcats welcome Long Island University (1-7, 0-0 EIWA) to the Southern Tier for an EIWA dual at 6:07 p.m., on Friday.
The Bearcats opened their dual season with a 24-13 victory at Bloomsburg on Dec. 13. Binghamton won seven out of 10 matches, getting bonus points in two of them. No. 26
Carter Baer picked up a 16-0 technical fall against Vasilios Dimou in only 1:59 in the 174 lb., bout.
Will Ebert, meanwhile, shut out Ethan Ducca in an 8-0 major decision during the 184 lb., bout. Also,
Mikey Squires won his Binghamton debut as the Princeton transfer defeated Coy Raines in the 197 lb., match.
For Friday's dual, Binghamton is celebrating Military Appreciation Night, presented by the
New York Army National Guard. The Bearcats will honor active and former members of the military during the contest. Additionally, the first 100 fans to enter the Events Center will receive a Binghamton hat. Team posters will also be available for fans in attendance. Admission is free on behalf of the
New York Army National Guard.
Before Binghamton takes the mat, fans are invited to attend a high school dual between Chenango Forks and Jamesville-DeWitt High School/Christian Brothers Academy. The dual begins at 4 p.m., in the Events Center.

- LIU has only won one of its eight duals this season, defeating Nassau Community College 43-11 on Dec. 9. The Sharks have fallen to Virginia (39-3), Lock Haven (48-6), Michigan State (34-0), Franklin & Marshall (27-11), Brown (29-17), Missouri (42-0) and Bloomsburg (20-13).
- LIU finished ninth at the 2025 EIWA Championships, its highest finish in program history, while sending five wrestlers to the podium.
