Women’s Basketball Travels to San Diego

Bearcats and Toreros Square Off Wednesday at 2 p.m. EST

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (3-3) lost 73-60 at Columbia on Nov. 24. Junior guard Kendall Bennett led four Bearcats in double figures with 16 points. She also grabbed eight rebounds. Junior guard Yanniah Boyd added 12 points while fellow junior guards Bella Pucci and Leah Middleton each finished with 11 points.

- Pucci leads the Bearcats and ranks third in the America East with 16.8 points per game. Bennett ranks fourth in the conference with 8.0 rebounds per game and No. 12 with 12.8 points per night. Senior guard Meghan Casey, meanwhile, is first in the conference with 2.5 steals per game and fifth in assists (3.3 apg.). 

- San Diego (3-5) defeated Southeast Missouri State 65-55 in the final round of the Arizona State Thanksgiving Tournament on Sunday. Eva Ruse finished with a career-high 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Olivia Owens added 13 points.  

- San Diego's unquestionable leader this season has been Kiley Rae. She leads the Toreros in scoring (16.8 ppg.), rebounding (6.5 rpg.), assists (3.0 apg.) and steals (2.3 spg.). 

- This marks the first time Binghamton and San Diego square off in women's basketball. The Toreros compete in the West Coast Conference (WCC).
