Women’s Basketball Concludes Road Stretch At Maine

Bearcats and Black Bears Tip Off Saturday at 1 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (14-13, 6-8 AE) lost 65-38 at New Hampshire on Thursday evening. Sophomore guard Bella Pucci led the Bearcats with 14 points, while sophomore forward Kendall Bennett added 10 points. Pucci also contributed three steals and four rebounds, while Bennett recorded two blocked shots.

- Redshirt junior guard Jadyn Weltz ranks third in the America East in steals (1.8 spg.) and seventh in assists (2.8 apg.). Pucci sits eighth in the conference in rebounding, averaging 5.6 boards per game. Bennett also stands fifth in blocks (1.0 bpg.). 

- As a team, Binghamton leads the America East in steals (8.6 spg.). The Bearcats also rank second in rebounding (34.8 rpg.). 

- Maine (12-14, 7-6 AE) fell 56-40 at home to UAlbany on Thursday evening. Caroline Dotsey paced the Black Bears with 14 points. Caroline Bornemann also notched seven points and grabbed eight rebounds.

- Bornemann ranks fifth in scoring with 12.4 points per game, and second in the America East with 7.9 rebounds per game. Paula Gallego is second in assists, averaging 3.6 per game, while Asta Blauenfeldt ranks sixth in steals (1.6 spg.).

- As a team, Maine leads the conference in assists, dishing out 14.9 per game.

- Maine leads the all-time series 32-16. However, earlier this season the Bearcats picked up a 69-59 victory at home on Jan. 9. During that contest, Weltz delivered a 21-point, six-assist, five-steal, four-rebound performance.
