Women’s Basketball Hosts UMass Lowell on Senior Day

Bearcats and River Hawks Tip Off Saturday at 2 p.m.

GAME NOTES

- Binghamton will hold its annual Senior Day ceremony preceding its game against UMass Lowell. Redshirt junior Jadyn Weltz is this year's lone honoree.


- Binghamton (14-14, 6-9 AE) came up just short in a 54-53 loss at Maine on Saturday afternoon. Weltz paced all scorers with 13 points while junior Kaia Goode added 10 points. Sophomore forward Kendall Bennett grabbed a team-high eight rebounds and sophomore guard Bella Pucci recorded four steals.

- Pucci ranks eighth in the America East in rebounding, averaging 5.5 boards per game. She is also tied with Weltz for fourth in steals (1.8 spg.). Weltz also places seventh in assists, dishing out 2.8 per game, while Bennett holds the sixth spot in blocks with 1.0 per game.

- As a team, Binghamton leads the conference in steals, averaging 8.7 per game. The Bearcats also rank third in rebounding (34.5 rpg.) and fourth in scoring offense (59.3 ppg.). 

- UMass Lowell (3-24, 1-14 AE) lost 64-52 at Bryant on Thursday evening. Abbey Lindsey scored a team-high 18 points and added four rebounds and two steals.  Rayne Durant also scored in double figures - with 10 points -  and blocked a pair of shots.

- Lindsey leads the River Hawks in scoring with 11.5 points per game. Sydney Watkins tops the America East in steals with 2.7 per game while Durant ranks third in blocks, averaging 1.1 per contest.

- As a team, UMass Lowell sits second in the conference in steals (8.3 spg.).

- Binghamton holds a 19-8 advantage in the all-time series. Earlier this season, the Bearcats secured a 65-52 road win on Feb. 6. Sophomore guard Leah Middleton recorded her first career double-double in the victory, finishing with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Junior guard Kaia Goode, meanwhile, led all scorers with 16 points.
