Women’s Basketball Visits UMass Lowell

Bearcats and River Hawks Tip Off Thursday at 6 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (11-11, 3-6 AE) fell 65-54 to UAlbany on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore guard Bella Pucci posted a double-double with 13 points, a game-high 11 rebounds, and a career-best five steals. Redshirt junior guard Jadyn Weltz contributed 11 points, four rebounds, and two assists, while junior Kaia Goode added 10 points and three steals. 

- Weltz ranks third in the America East in steals (2.0 spg.) as well as No. 14 in scoring (9.8 ppg.). Pucci sits seventh in the conference with 5.8 rebounds per game.

- As a team, Binghamton leads the conference with 8.8 steals per contest. The Bearcats also rank second in rebounding (35.3 rpg.).

- UMass Lowell (3-18, 1-8 AE) lost 56-48 to UMBC at home on Saturday. Abbey Lindsey led the River Hawks with 13 points, three rebounds, and two steals. Maddie Rice also reached double figures in scoring with 10 points, along with two rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

- Lindsey ranks seventh in the conference in scoring (11.1 ppg.), while Rice is sixth in rebounding (6.1 rpg.). Sydney Watkins leads the America East with 3.0 steals per game and is seventh in assists (3.0 apg.). Rayne Durant is fourth in blocks, averaging 0.9 per game.

- As a team, UMass Lowell ranks second in steals with an average of 8.4 per game.

- Binghamton holds an 18-8 lead in the all-time series. The Bearcats swept both games last season, securing a 70-65 road win on Jan. 20, 2024, and a 79-48 victory at the Events Center on Feb. 22, 2024.
