Men’s Tennis Advances to NEC Semifinals

Bearcats defeat No. 5 Saint Francis, 4-3, to make second consecutive semifinal appearance

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Men's Tennis (11-11) advanced to its second consecutive NEC Championship Semifinal after defeating No. 5 Saint Francis (6-13), 4-3, Thursday afternoon at the Mercer County Tennis Center. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 
Saint Francis picked up wins in the first and third doubles spots to take an early 1-0 edge over Binghamton. 

Filipe Costa, William Morais Binnie and Zubin Omar recorded three straight victories to open up singles play and retake a 3-1 lead. The Red Flashes evened the score with two wins at second and fifth spots before Andre Ajed clinched the 4-3 team decision with a comeback three-set victory No. 4 singles.
