Women’s Lacrosse Ends Season with Loss to UAlbany

Bearcats fall to Great Danes, 19-9, on Senior Day

VESTAL, N.Y. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Women's Lacrosse (5-10, 2-4) concluded the 2025 season with a 19-9 loss to UAlbany (7-9, 4-2), Saturday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 
UAlbany jumped ahead 2-0 before Olivia Muscolino put the Bearcats on the board off an assist from Marisa Tancredi. The Great Danes recorded eight unanswered goals across the first and second quarters to own a 10-1 advantage with 11:49 remaining in the frame. 

Emma Blloshmi and Abigail Carroll posted back-to-back goals to cut UAlbany's edge to seven. The Great Danes tacked on two more scores to end the half up 12-3. Carroll and Jess Robinson registered the first two goals coming out of the locker room for Binghamton to make it 12-5. UAlbany added two additional scores to finish the third quarter, 14-5. 

Blloshmi notched her second goal of the day to start the fourth frame until the Great Danes scored twice to lead 16-6. Carla Curth and Tancredi found the back of the net within 30 seconds of each other to bring UAlbany's edge to eight. The Great Danes netted another goal before Carroll completed her hat trick with 8:09 left in regulation. UAlbany tacked on two more scores in the final five minutes to claim a 19-9 victory. 

GAME NOTES
  • Abigail Carroll recorded her first hat trick of the season vs. UAlbany, bringing her lifetime total to 101 goals. Carroll is one of seven Bearcats in program history to eclipse 100 career goals. 
  • Carroll, Olivia Muscolino, Emma Blloshmi, Jess Robinson and Marisa Tancredi posted two points apiece against the Great Danes.
  • Angelina Suau registered three caused turnovers and three ground balls this afternoon to end her Bearcat tenure as Binghamton's career caused turnovers leader with 84. 
  • Muscolino finishes her collegiate career as Binghamton's all-time scoring leader with 209 points and 149 goals. 
  • Blloshmi went 1-2 from the eight-meter mark vs. UAlbany to conclude the season on top of the NCAA Division I rankings with 2.07 free position goals per game.
