VESTAL, N.Y. - Having won three of its first four out of the gate, Binghamton women's soccer (3-1) hosts unbeaten George Washington (1-0-2) Sunday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The noon kickoff begins a soccer doubleheader day, with the men's team hosting Hofstra at 3 p.m.
The Bearcats are coming off a 2-1 road win at Marist on Thursday. Binghamton tallied a goal in each half and controlled play for much of the game and the ensuing 2-1 result was the team's third win this fall by that exact score.
Sophomore forward
Jahkaya Davis collected a goal (third of season) and an assist and freshman midfielder
Ale Victoriano netted her first collegiate goal. The final shots count was 14-4 for the Bearcats. Junior starting keeper
Rebecca Kessler didn't have to make save in the first half and lowered her season goals against average to 1.00. Freshman
Bella Grace Dunn made two saves in the final 45 minutes.

GW is coming off a 2-2 draw at Colgate on Thursday. In that game, the teams played 84 minutes without a goal before combining for four tallies in the frantic closing six minutes. Twice GW took the lead before the host Raiders netted the final tying goal with just 20 seconds left. Colgate held an 8-6 shots edge. Five different players have one goal apiece this season for GW, who began the season with a 1-0 win over American and a 2-2 tie at Drexel. The Revolutionaries return 21 letterwinners from a team that went 4-11-3 last season, including a 2-7 mark in the Atlantic 10. This fall, GW was picked to finish 13th (of 14) in the A-10 Preseason Poll. Their roster features players from 10 states and two internationals. Â
This is the second meeting between the two programs. In the season opener last year in D.C., the Bearcats built a 3-0 lead and hung on for a 3-2 win. The Bearcats rode a pair of goals from midfielder
Anna Buckwalter and fended off a late GW push.
