ITHACA, N.Y. - Junior keeper
Rebecca Kessler made seven saves and Binghamton women's soccer (5-1-2) extended its unbeaten streak to five games with a 0-0 tie at Cornell Sunday afternoon at Berman Field.
With the tie, Binghamton closed its non-conference slate and continued its best season start since 2017.
Cornell held a 15-7 shots advantage but Kessler and a banged up Bearcats back line held firm to post the team's second shutout in the last three games.
Binghamton had the game's best chance midway through the first half. Junior wing back
Megan Baker burst into the box on the right side and sent a cross to the far post, where classmate
Paige Luke headed it off the goalpost and back across the goalmouth.
The Bearcats now turn their attention to America East play. Binghamton hosts UMBC next Sunday afternoon.
