Newcomers to work with women’s basketball, men’s tennis, track and xc teams

VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton Sports Medicine Department welcomed a pair of new hires this past month. Kaitlin Fulton is now working with the women's basketball and men's tennis programs while Stephen Reyes is assigned to the cross country and track teams.

"We're excited to welcome Stephen and Kaitlin to Binghamton Sports Medicine," Director Kara Gorgos said. "With backgrounds in both collegiate and clinical settings, they bring a wealth of knowledge in injury prevention, rehabilitation and sport-specific care. Their addition will strengthen our ability to provide comprehensive support to our student-athletes, ensuring they're prepared to compete at their highest level while maintaining their health and well-being."

Fulton arrives from Marywood University, where she was an athletic trainer working with 22 team varsity teams since 2023. Before that, she was a graduate assistant at Kings College from 2021-23.

A 2016 graduate of Misericordia, Fulton went on to earn her master's degree in athletic training from Kings College in 2023. In 2019, she earned her Doctorate degree in physical therapy - also from Misericordia.

Reyes, meanwhile, was most recently an athletic trainer at nearby Broome Community College (BCC) since 2022. Reyes has also worked with Ascension Lourdes (2020-23) and Bridge Program-UHS (2016-20), both of which are located in the Binghamton area.

Reyes earned his bachelor's degree from SUNY Alfred in 2013.
