VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's soccer plays its next-to-last non-conference game Sunday when the Bearcats (4-1-1) host Colgate (1-2-3) at 1 p.m. at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
The Bearcats have strung together their best six-game start to a season in eight years. Binghamton is coming off a scoreless draw at ACC member Syracuse on Thursday. They outshot the Orange and had the better of play for much of the rain-soaked contest. Reigning America East Offensive Player of the Week

Just like Binghamton, Colgate is coming off an away scoreless tie at an ACC foe after its draw at Boston College Thursday night. The Raiders absorbed 28 BC shots but kept the ball out of the net. Before that, Colgate dropped a 2-1 result at Stony Brook. To begin the season, the team tied Buffalo (1-1), beat Marist (2-1), lost at Cornell (2-1) and tied GW (2-2).Â
Six different players have scored goals for the Raiders, led by sophomore forward Josie Tunney (2 goals). Junior keeper Ella Poppinga has played every minute and owns a 1.33 goals against average.Â
The Raiders were picked to finish sixth of 10 in the Patriot League Preseason Poll after going 5-10-4 last fall. Senior midfielder Ari Bezanson anchors the team after earning first team all-conference honors in 2024. She tallied 14 goals (17th in nation) and 29 points.Â
Despite being separated by just 72 miles, the two programs have met only twice all-time, with each team posting a win. Binghamton won back in 2002, 4-3, and Colgate returned the favor in 2022, 3-2. Both games were played in Hamilton.Â
