DOVER, De. – Binghamton women's lacrosse (6-8) team delivered a dominant all-around performance, rolling to a 19-3 victory over Delaware State (0-17) in their final non-conference game of the season. Binghamton saw 10 different goal scorers and multiple multi-point performances in Sunday's big win.
The Bearcats erupted early and never slowed down, scoring seven first-half goals in the opening 13 minutes of play and taking full control of the contest.
Emma Blloshmi led the offensive charge with a game-high five goals on 10 shots, finishing with five points in a standout performance.
Carla Curth added a strong all-around effort with two goals and two assists for four points, while
Sabrina Boyle and
Sienna Fox each contributed three points in the win.
Delaware State broke through at 5:18 in the first quarter on a free-position goal, but Blloshmi answered twice more in the final minutes of the quarter as Binghamton carried a 7-1 lead into the second.
The Hornets scored quickly to start the second quarter, but Blloshmi responded at 13:36 to complete to put the Bearcats back ahead by six. Fox, Boyle, and Curth all found the back of the net over the remainder of the half, pushing Binghamton to a 13-3 halftime lead.
The Bearcats extended their lead throughout the second half, continuing to apply pressure on both ends of the field.
Isabella Sandoval finished with two goals, while
Peighton McNulty tallied her first career goal for the Bearcats to wrap up a dominate outing for the Bearcats.
Senior
Mckenna Kobler had a career day at the dot with 16 draw controls in the win over the Hornets. She surpassed the 50 draw controls in her career after her huge performance on Sunday.
The Bearcats will close out the regular season at home for senior day against Bryant on Saturday, April 25 for a noon start time.
