UMBC, which finished two games behind the Bearcats in the standings, was afforded a conference-best nine selections and two major awards.
The seven Bearcat all-conference spots – one more than last year - tied for the second-most in program history, behind the nine picked in 2016.
Sinicki notched his seventh Coach of the Year selection after steering a young Bearcats team to the regular-season title and tournament top seed after absorbing heavy graduation hits from his 2025 NCAA team. Binghamton rattled off 11 straight conference wins in April, including a three-game sweep of runnerup UMBC. His work juggling front-line pitching injuries and steadying a young lineup pushed the Bearcats to the top of the standings.
Bolton is a repeat first team selection after another outstanding season that warranted strong consideration for Player of the Year honors. He ranks among the America East top-5 in six offensive categories, including average (3
rd, .339), OPS (4
th, .983) and slugging (4
th, .541). In conference play, Bolton led the entire league in OPS (1.083), extra-base hits (15) and slugging (.632).
Popoff ranks second in the conference with 52 RBI and has been one of the most clutch hitters in the league with 22 two-out RBIs. He also ranks among the conference top-10 in home runs (9
th, 7) and OPS (.906).
Sweeney continues to lead the league in batting with a .374 mark and on-base percentage (.468). He also is fifth in OPS (.955). With runners on base this spring, Sweeney is hitting .400 and jumps that average to .500 with the bases loaded. Like Popoff, it's his first all-conference honor in his first season as a starter.
Griffin and Mitchell give the Bearcats two all-conference starting pitchers for the first time since 2019 (Gallagher, Babalis).
Griffin ranks third in the conference with 58 strikeouts and has drawn considerable attention from MLB scouts this season with a fastball that has reached the high 90s. Opponents are hitting just .219 against him. Mitchell has four saves and three wins, a product of serving as both the team's closer (early season) and a weekend starter (of late). He has nearly a 4-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio and opponents are hitting just .204 against him. Mitchell also received academic accolades for earning a 3.50 GPA in business administration and philosophy, politics and law.
Hennig took over at third base from four-year starter
Devan Bade and has blossomed. In conference play, Hennig ranks second with a .469 on-base percentage. In his last 30 games, he is hitting .344 with 25 RBI.
Gonzalez has been a stellar leadoff hitter. He ranks among the nation's top-10 in walks (6
th) with more than one per game. Gonzalez is third in the conference in on-base percentage (.454).
Holloway moved into the starting rotation at the end of March and has three wins and a 5.32 ERA (4.03 in AE play). He was the lone starting pitcher named to the All-Rookie Team.
Binghamton begins its 2026 postseason journey at 11 a.m. Thursday against the lowest-remaining seed after Wednesday's opening round. The Bearcats are hosting the entire nine-game, four-day tournament at the Baseball Complex. It's the sixth time Binghamton has hosted the championship, third in the last four years.
