Before Binghamton

• Four-year starter and letterwinner at Walt Whitman High
• Two-year captain and three-time team MVP at center midfield
• Three-time all-county selection
• Led team to first state playoff berth in seven years as junior and repeat trip as senior
• Named league rookie of year as freshman
• As sophomore, led 16th-seeded team to upset over #1 Sachem East in first round of Suffolk County playoffs
• Member of National Honor Society and National Society of High School Scholars
• Ranked fourth in graduating class of 425 with 98 average
• Selected to Suffolk County Academic All-County as senior
