Opened on September 21, 2012 and later dedicated on October 5, 2018, the reconstructed
Lane Tennis Center is named for Michael Lane '89 and his wife and fellow BU alumnus Lisa, who made a substantial gift to the program to upgrade the entire 12-court outdoor complex and also provide technological and equipment advancements to the men's tennis program. Lane was a four-year standout for multi-year conference championship teams at Binghamton in the late 1980s.
The tennis area features six new varsity courts with cushion surfaces on the south side. A optimally designed center promenade allows access for spectators and coaches. New fencing and windscreens were also added to the surrounding area.
