Profile: Leigh Ann Savidge-Morris, Former softball player, 2001-04; Department staff member, 2004-present; Current Senior Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator

Brief: A native of Binghamton, Leigh Ann Savidge-Morris has been part of the Bearcats athletics department for 20 years, serving a multitude of roles beginning with her four years as a student-athlete. She played 133 games as a BU softball outfielder between 2001-04, earning America East all-conference honors in 2002.

In her senior season, she had the unique circumstance of starting her work experience while simultaneously concluding her athletics career. For home softball games in 2004, Savidge-Morris was in charge of the game operations for the very games she was competing in.       

After graduating with a degree in marketing from the School of Management, Savidge-Morris was hired full-time as a program assistant in 2004 and was promoted to an assistant AD role in 2007. She earned another promotion to Associate AD for Internal Operations and Game Management in 2010 and continued her breadth of contributions by overseeing special projects beginning in 2015. Already the department's Senior Woman Administrator (since 2012), Savidge-Morris was elevated to her current title of Senior Associate Athletics Director in 2016. 

She earned her MBA from the University in 2005.    

Savidge-Morris, her husband Tony, who also works in BU's athletics department, and their daughter Aribella reside in Vestal.
