Karson Hahn begins his first full season at Binghamton in 2022-23 as an assistant coach with the track and cross country programs.
Hahn arrivedĀ from Purdue University, where he was a volunteer assistant coach with the Boilermakers' cross country and track programs. During his stint, the men's squad was 29th overall at the 2021 NCAA Cross Country Championships. The previous season (2020-21) Purdue has both a male and female individual qualifier for the NCAA Championships.
From 2018-20, Hahn was a graduate assistant coach at the University of Tennessee-Martin. The Skyhawk men's team placed a program-best fourth overall at the 2018 Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Cross Country Championships while the women were fifth, marking their second-best finish in program history.
Hahn's coaching endeavors started when he was a volunteer cross country coach at Mount Vernon Township (Ill.) High School from 2013-18.
A 2018 graduate of Eastern Illinois University ā where he earned his degree in exercise science - Hahn was a middle distance runner for the Panthers. He led his squad to the 2017 OVC indoor track & field title and earned second-team All-OVC honors. In three years, he turned in five top-five finishes at the OVC Championships.
