Michaela Transue

Michaela Transue

Michaela Transue completed her third season as an assistant coach with Binghamton in 2025. She was promoted to associate head coach in the summer of 2025.

Since Transue joined the Binghamton staff, the squad has a 98-50 overall record. She has been an integral part of all facets of the Bearcat program during that stretch.

Transue has specialized as a hitting coach and the Bearcats have turned in impressive offensive performances over the past two years. Binghamton’s 68 home runs in 2025 shattered the program record (of 50 home runs) while its 83 doubles broke the previous record of 73 doubles. Over the past two seasons, Binghamton has homered 118 times and hit over .300 as a team.

In addition to her role at Binghamton, Transue was also chosen as the head coach of the New York Rise in 2025. The Rise is a women’s professional summer softball team, which is based out of Long Island and competes in the Fastpitch United Pro Series.

From 2019-22, Transue was on the staff at Missouri. She was a graduate assistant during the 2019 season, was a volunteer assistant in 2020 and 2021 as well as an assistant coach in 2022.

A 2018 graduate of Hofstra University, Transue was an infielder and was named first-team all-conference in her final season. During her career, she had 25 doubles, two triples and 18 home runs. The Pride went 137-64-1 during Transue's career, made three NCAA Tournament appearances over that span and won Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) titles in 2015 and 2018.

Transue grew up in the Binghamton area, graduating from nearby Chenango Forks High School in 2014. She was a four-time New York State (NYS) Class B All-State selection and batted .562 as a senior.
