John Azzinaro

John Azzinaro begins his first season with the Binghamton women’s basketball program in 2021-22. He spent the previous two years as the Director of Scouting and Player Personal/Video Coordinator for the current WNBA champion Chicago Sky.

During his time in Chicago, Azzinaro played a key role in both player development and video analysis. He was responsible for the skill development of players such as Kahleah Copper, Courtney Vandersloot (WNBA assist leader and record holder) and Allie Quigley (two-time three-point champion). During games, he provided halftime film edits that allowed the Sky to make adjustments for the second half. In addition, Azzinaro provided data analysis in areas such as points per possession based on specific sets and actions.

Azzinaro also has head coaching experience with both NBA Basketball Without Borders (Feb. 2020). In addition, he was a Coaching Associate with the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League Organization from Oct. 2017-May 2018.

A 2017 graduate of Bucknell University, Azzinaro was a four-year letterwinner for the Bison. He played on the 2017 squad that took part in the NCAA Tournament.
