Binghamton women's lacrosse coach Stephanie Allen is welcoming back Allison Daley as head assistant lacrosse coach and recruiting coordinator.

Daley, who coached alongside Allen for three years (2013-2016), returns to Binghamton after spending a year on the staff at Delaware. In 2016, she helped Binghamton set a program record for the lowest goals against average. She also helped recruit and coach the 2016 America East Rookie of the year and coached 11 all-conference players in three seasons.

"I couldn't be happier to return to Binghamton University," Daley said. "I am grateful to Patrick Elliott, Leigh Ann Savidge and Stephanie Allen for bringing me back. I am excited to work alongside Stephanie again to continue to help grow the program and become a competitive member in the America East."

During her time at Delaware, Daley made a strong mark as she helped coach the Blue Hens to nine wins and a berth in the CAA semifinals. Delaware finished the 2017 season ranked seventh nationally in goals against average.

Daley will also be stepping back into the net herself, as she has been selected as one of two goalies on Team Canada's 18 player roster. The Petersborough, Ontario native will be competing in the World Cup, July 12-22 in Guildford, England.

"It's a huge honor to be chosen to represent Team Canada in the upcoming World Cup," Daley said. "It's a dream come true and it's been a great opportunity to learn, grow, and play with some of the best players and coaches in the world."

Daley was an elite goaltender and team captain who enjoyed a decorated playing career prior to coaching. She was a member of Canada's U19 National Team before embarking on a successful four-year undergraduate career at Canisius. She was the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2010 and earned MAAC Tournament MVP honors after leading the Griffs to their first-ever conference title in 2011. She was a three-time All-MAAC selection and became the program's first-ever IWLCA all-region pick as a senior. Daley twice earned all-championship team honors and graduated holding school records for career saves (662) and goals against average (11.66).

She was also Canisius's Woman of the Year nominee and a finalist for MAAC Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2011.
