Dalfonso came to Binghamton in October 2025 and joins the Bearcats' four-person communications staff.

He came to campus after spending two years as the athletic communications graduate assistant at Vermont State University Castleton, where he earned his master's degree in business administration. Among his responsibilities, he served as the primary contact for more than 12+ programs and a secondary contact for football, wrestling, and basketball. He oversaw and orchestrated all media responsibilities for Castleton's "Breaking the Ice on Mental Health" for men's hockey and "Pink the Rink" for women's hockey with Rutland Regional Medical Center.

"We are excited to bring Lukas on board," Hartrick said. "He impressed everyone with his passion for the profession, his energy and wide array of skills. Lukas's pedigree working at Castleton and SUNY Geneseo made him an ideal candidate to step in and hit the ground running."

A Western New York native, he is a 2023 college graduate from SUNY Geneseo, obtaining a bachelor's degree in communication. During his time at Geneseo, Dalfonso ran for the school's track and field program before making the switch to sports information. He became the primary contact and social media manager for Geneseo's track and field program. During the 2023 NCAA Track and Field Championship, Dalfonso curated content for multiple All-Americans, including shooting and editing video for the men's 400-meter hurdle national champion Lance Jensen.

At Binghamton, Dalfonso will directly oversee the communications efforts for volleyball, women's basketball, women's lacrosse and men's and women's tennis.
