Shannon Croston was hired as the Athletics Office Assistant in January 2024. She arrived at Binghamton in August 2023 and worked as an intern with the Facilities and Operation Department during the Fall 2023 semester.
In her current role, Croston is the point person for the athletic department and oversees both the main office phone number and email account. She also assists in the areas of game day contracts, day-to-day activities for the Director of Athletics, special events and creating an internal weekly newsletter for the Division of Athletics.
Originally from the Rochester area, Croston graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2023 with a degree in Sports Management and Communications with a concentration in relationships and social identity. She played on the women’s rugby team for four years and was the captain during her senior year.
Croston also interned with the Greater Binghamton Sports Complex in 2022. She managed and posted social media content for the GBFC Thunder – a semi-professional men’s soccer team - and also assisted with youth camps and practices.
Croston cheered for 14 years – both during high school and on the travel circuit.
