VESTAL, N.Y. – Jack Blattman scored the game-winning goal in the 35th minute, leading Columbia (5-5-1) to a 1-0 win over Binghamton (4-10-0) in a men's soccer game on Wednesday night at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The game marked the final non-conference contest of the year for the Bearcats.
Blattman took a pass from Zach Morant and dribbled the ball down the right sideline. He then broke in front of the goal and slid the ball just inside the right post. It was his first goal of the season.
With this being a midweek non-conference game, both teams switched up their lineups and started many players who had been reserves for most of the season.
Binghamton ended the game with a 10-9 shot advantage.
Up next for the Bearcats is a trip to UMass Lowell for a 3 p.m. game on Saturday
