LOWELL, Mass. – Austin Kimball scored the game-winning goal with one second left in the first half, leading UMass Lowell (7-8-1 ,3-1-1 AE) to a 2-1 win over Binghamton (4-11-0, 2-2-0 AE) in an America East men's soccer game on Saturday afternoon at the Cushing Field Complex. The game marked the first of four consecutive conference matches the Bearcats will play as they wrap up their regular season.
Kimball was in the right place at the right time when the River Hawks took a corner kick with time running out in the first half. There was a loose scramble in front of the net off the corner kick, with Kimball eventually knocking the ball in the net. The assists were given to Wuilito Fernandes and Guilherme Rodrigues.

Senior forward Steve Celeste tied the game in the 21st minute. He fired a shot from the right corner of the box which went inside the far post. It was his second goal of the season and was assisted by sophomore back Bret Celeste.
UMass Lowell held a 14-10 shot advantage. Binghamton hit the cross bar twice in the first half.
