JAMAICA, N.Y. – Aliyyah Hanford and Danaejah Grant each finished with 19 points, powering unbeaten St. John's (4-0) to a 67-51 win over Binghamton (1-4) in a non-conference women's basketball game on Friday afternoon at Carnesecca Hall. The game marked the Bearcats' first contest that has aired on ESPN3 this season and came against a Red Storm squad receiving votes in both national polls (USA Today and AP).

The Red Storm used their size advantage to outrebound the Bearcats 51-26 for the game. Twenty-six of those rebounds came at the offensive end. Amber Thompson grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds while Jade Walker added 11 rebounds to go along with 10 points.

Binghamton's freshman duo of guards Jasmine Sina andImani Watkins combined for 38 of the Bearcats' 51 points. Sina pumped in a career-high 20 points while Watkins added 18 points. Each of them has reached double figures in scoring four times this season.

Sina keyed a 10-4 Binghamton run in the opening 3:48 of the game. She drained a pair of three-point field goals during that stretch.

The Bearcats were up 17-16 with 10:59 left in the first half but in the ensuing 11 minutes, the Red Storm went on a 19-7 run to go up 35-24 at the break. Thompson had 15 of her points at the half.

Watkins hit a jumper to pull the Bearcats to within 47-37 with 11:39 left in regulation. From there, however, the Red Storm went on a 12-3 run to take a 59-40 lead with 6:40 left to go.

Sina scored six more of her points in the last 3:03 of play. The Bearcats had been down 65-45 before she went on her final spurt.

Up next for Binghamton is a 1 p.m. game on Sunday at St. Bonaventure.
