Box ScoreBox Score (PDF)HAMILTON, N.Y. – Carole Harris scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, leading Colgate (1-7) to a 74-55 win over Binghamton (1-7) in a non-conference women's basketball game on Wednesday night at Cotterell Court. The game marked the first of three road contests the Bearcats play in four days.
The Bearcats were once again led by the freshman duo of guards
Imani Watkins and
Jasmine Sina, each of whom finished with a team-high 18 points. Â Watkins has now reached double figures in scoring six times this season while Sina has five such performances.
Binghamton went on a 7-0 run in a span of 3:25 to go up 14-10 with 10:23 left to go in the first half. Sophomore forward
Kristin Ross had six points during that stretch.
Over the ensuing eight minutes, however, the Raiders outscored the Bearcats 26-4 to go up 36-18. Colgate nailed nine of their ten field goal attempts during that span.
Down 41-26 at the break, Binghamton pulled to within 56-48 when Watkins hit a layup with 10:22 left in regulation. From there, however, the Raiders built their lead back up to 68-52 with 3:45 remaining.
Josie Stockill added 13 points for the Raiders.
Binghamton heads to Canisius for a 7 p.m. on Thursday.
