VESTAL, N.Y. - Visiting Penn (2-5) shot 51 percent and put six players in double figures en route to a 79-70 win over Binghamton men's basketball (1-8) Saturday afternoon from the Events Center.
The Bearcats hit 11 three-pointers, forced 18 Penn turnovers and recorded the team's second-highest point total of the season. Freshman center

Willie Rodriguez notched his second collegiate double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman guard
Romello Walker added 12 points for the Bearcats, who trailed by six at the break (40-34).
"We hung around all game long," head coach
Tommy Dempsey said. "After a slow start, I thought we worked hard and rallied. Penn played well down the stretch, though. But I saw a team that can compete in our conference ... and that's a good sign."
Binghamton hosts Caldwell at 7 p.m. Monday night.
