VESTAL, N.Y –The Binghamton volleyball team, coming off a five-set win last weekend, will play a pair of games this weekend. The Bearcats host Siena on Thursday, October 22, at 7 p.m. and travel to Albany to take on the Great Danes on Friday, October 23, at 7 p.m.

Binghamton (5-15, 2-4 AE) mustered a five-game victory against UMass Lowell on October 16. The win was the eighth five-set match of the season for the Bearcats, who sport a 4-4 record in such outings. The victory proved to be a career-setting match for multiple Bearcats. Junior
Kasey Muchnicki, making her first career start, recorded a career-high 31 digs. Senior
Megan Burgess added 24.5 points, a personal best. Sophomore
Sarah Ngo was named America East Setter of the Week after she set a career high with 61 assists.

Siena College (10-8, 7-2 MAAC) has won eight of its last ten matches. The Saints are led by junior Briana Flagg. Flagg leads the Saints with 4.24 points per set and tops the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) in kills with 4.22 per set. Fellow Saint Haley Howell, a junior, ranks first in the MAAC in assists with 10.28 per set.

Albany (10-8, 5-1 AE) has won four straight matches since falling in three sets to conference-leading New Hampshire. Junior Laini Leindecker leads the Great Danes in kills per set, with 3.49. The junior has been named America East Player of the Week three times this season. The last time the two squads faced off was the Bearcats home opener, as the Great Danes won a competitive five-set match.

Binghamton currently ranks fifth in the America East, trailing fourth place UMBC by one game. The Bearcats sport an all-time record of 12-3 against Siena and a 10-22 record against conference rival Albany, since joining Division I in 2001.
