Softball Heads to Bucknell for non-conference doubleheader

Bearcats and Bison square off Saturday at 2 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (13-12, 3-2 AE) has won its past three games. Most recently, the Bearcats swept Hartford 10-2, 8-0 in an America East doubleheader on Monday. Freshman designated hitter Tia Smith and sophomore third baseman Crysti Eichner each drove in five runs against the Hawks.

- For the season, junior catcher Lisa Cadogan leads the Bearcats with a .426 batting average, six home runs and 27 RBI. She enters the weekend with a team-best, seven-game hitting streak. Junior outfielder Sydney Harbaugh is batting .384 with four home runs and 21 RBI. She has also scored a team-best 29 runs and has 16 stolen bases.

- Bucknell (19-17, 1-5 Patriot League) will host Robert Morris on Friday before facing the Bearcats on Saturday. Last weekend, the Bison were swept in a three-game conference series at Lehigh by scores of 11-3, 11-2 and 7-3.

- Amanda Fazio leads the Bison with a .371 batting average while Cyndee Sanders is hitting .349. In the pitcher's circle, Fazio is 11-9 so far this season.

- Binghamton is 1-2 all time against Bucknell but won the most recent meeting 1-0 on March 12, 2011 at the George Mason Cherry Blossom Classic.
