VESTAL, N.Y. - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) has released its list of Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 academic year and 14 members of the Binghamton softball program are included. In addition, the Bearcats earned All-Academic Team honors from the NFCA.
NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors are awarded to those student-athletes who maintained at least a 3.5 GPA during the most recent academic year. Team Academic honors, meanwhile, went to those programs who earned an overall GPA of at least a 3.0.
Of Binghamton's 14 players to have earned NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors, four of them were also named America East All-Conference. They include Emma Lawson, Olivia Kennedy, Rachel Carey and Darien McDonough. In addition, Delaney Glover, who earned America East All-Tournament honors, was also named a NFCA Scholar-Athlete.
Three other NFCA Scholar-Athletes from Binghamton were also in the starting lineup last season. They include Maddy Dodig, Rebecca Minnichbach and Akira Kopec.The rest of the Bearcat honorees include Bella Farina, Brianna Roberts, Charlotte Constantine, Megan Wolf, Skye Dupre and Reese Izenstark.Â
Since 2010, Binghamton has posted 155 NFCA Scholar-Athlete selections. In addition, the Bearcats have earned Team Academic honors 16 times during that same span.
Binghamton repeated as the America East champion in 2026 and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season.
