BUFFALO, N.Y. - Senior center fielder
Zach Blanden had four hits and four RBI and Binghamton baseball (8-12) stretched its win streak to four with an 18-15 11-inning win over host Canisius Wednesday afternoon at Demske Sports Complex.Â
In a wild five-hour game that featured five lead changes, the teams used 12 pitchers (6 each) and combined for 33 runs, 27 hits, 25 walks and nine hit batters. The Bearcats surrendered a 15-12 lead in the bottom of the ninth inning before plating the final three runs in the 11th frame, courtesy of an error, two hit batters, a bases-loaded walk, a groundout and a two-out run-scoring hit by Blanden.
Freshman
Jake Erhard, BU's sixth pitcher of the game, recorded the final six outs, including a 1-2-3 11th, for his first collegiate victory. Erhard didn't allow a hit and struck out three in his perfect 2.0 innings.
Blanden went 4-for-7 with a three-run home run and four RBI. Junior second baseman

Nick Wegmann drove in three runs, sophomore shortstop
Brendan Skidmore had two hits and two RBI and junior first baseman
Kyle Coronel had two RBI.
Senior right fielder
Jake Thomas reached base five times and freshman left fielder
CJ Krowiak scored three runs, had an RBI and tied a school record with four walks.Â
The Bearcats begin a three-game America East weekend series at Hartford with a doubleheader on Saturday.Â
