Men's soccer loses 1-0 at Marist

Red Foxes net game winner in 13th minute

Final Stats

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Cameron Harr scored in the 13th minute, leading Marist (2-3-0) to a 1-0 win over Binghamton (3-2-0) in a non-conference men's soccer game on Saturday evening at Tenney Stadium. The loss snapped the Bearcats' three-game winning streak.

Herr was in the right place at the right time when the Bearcat defense misplayed a ball deep in its own zone. He then pumped it into the net for his first goal of the season.

Marist had a chance to increase its lead when it was awarded a penalty kick in the 73rd minute. Junior goalkeeper Robert Moewes, however, made the save on the attempt by Connor Preece.

The Bearcats outshot the Red Foxes 10-7 for the match but were unable to net the tying goal.

"Give Marist credit," head coach Paul Marco said. "They were able to seize a moment in the match and get their goal. They played really well. We weren't able to make the adjustments we needed to tonight."

Binghamton heads to Cornell on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. match.
