VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton wrestling team travels to Ithaca for a non-conference match this Saturday, January 30, at 2 p.m. against the Ithaca Bombers. The team then returns home Sunday for a dual with Sacred Heart at 1 p.m. in the West Gym.
The Bearcats are 7-5 overall and 4-3 in EIWA. They split their matches last weekend in Philadelphia, beating Drexel 16-15 on Friday and then falling to 24-9 at Penn on Sunday. Friday,

Mark Tracy were all victorious. Tracy, along with
Steven Bulzomi and
Connor Calkins were the winning Bearcats at Penn on Sunday.
The Ithaca Bombers are 9-4 overall and currently ranked ninth in the country in Division III. Ithaca captured the team championship at last weekend's Mel Berry Duals at Thiel College. They defeated No. 18 Baldwin 22-9 and then swept Mercyhurst North East 50-0. The Bombers finished the weekend beating host Thiel, 41-7, to finish first in the tournament.
Sacred Heart went 0-3 last weekend at the Hofstra Duals. They fell to Hofstra 40-8, Columbia 38-0 and Clarion 33-7. Tim Johnson and Casey Mitchell were the only Pioneers to record wins on the weekend.
Garcia defeated then-sixth-ranked Matt Cimato of Drexel at 149 pounds. Garcia earned FloWrestling's Upset of the Week for the 2-0 sudden victory.
At 197 pounds, Tracy was the only Bearcat to go 2-0 in Philadelphia. He won 12-8 against Drexel's Nezar Haddad on Friday. On Sunday, Tracy rallied in the third period to force overtime, eventually winning a 7-5 decision.
Last season, the Bearcats defeated Sacred Heart 42-0 in Fairfield.
