VESTAL , N.Y. – The Binghamton wrestling program unveiled its schedule for the 2026-27 season Wednesday.
 
The Bearcats will get to compete against multiple nationally recognized programs here in the Southern Tier. Their opponents at home include five-time defending national champion Penn State, Cornell and Oregon State. Also, Binghamton will wrestle in several competitive tournaments, including the Southern Scuffle.
 
"We are excited about the challenges and opportunities this year's schedule presents," said second year Binghamton Head Wrestling Coach Ryan LeBlanc. "We have a mature, experienced team, and we intentionally built a schedule that will prepare our student-athletes to compete against the best programs in the country and perform at their highest level in March."
 
Fans will first get a chance to see Binghamton's wrestlers compete at Wrestle-Offs, the Bearcats' annual intrasquad dual. That takes place at 5:30 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 16 in the West Gym.
 
Binghamton's season officially begins on Sunday, Nov. 1, when they will have wrestlers competing in the Princeton Open. The following week, the Bearcats will take part in the Journeymen Collegiate Classic on Nov. 8 at Freedom High School in Bethlehem, Pa., facing wrestlers from 20 different collegiate programs.
 
The first dual of the season for Binghamton takes place on Friday, Nov. 20, when the Bearcats travel to Western New York to face Buffalo. The Bearcats have won their last four duals against the Bulls dating back to 2022.
 
Two days later, Binghamton competes in Cornell's home tournament, the Big Red Invitational, on Sunday, Nov. 22. 12 days after that, Binghamton has its first dual at home for the season, when the Bearcats face Bloomsburg at 7 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 4.
 
To close out 2026, Binghamton is hosting a series of duals in the West Gym on Sunday, Dec. 20. That day, Binghamton competes against Penn State, Oregon State and Northern Colorado. It will be the first time Binghamton hosts Penn State in Vestal, N.Y., since Nov. 17, 2017, when the Bearcats wrestled the Nittany Lions in front of more than 3,000 fans at the Events Center. Binghamton also faces Oregon State for the first time in program history that day. Lastly, the Bearcats' dual against Northern Colorado will be the first between the two programs since Nov. 12, 2022.
 
Binghamton begins 2027 by competing in one of the most competitive in-season wrestling tournaments in the country, the Southern Scuffle, in Chattanooga, Tenn., from Jan. 2-3. It will be the first time Binghamton has competed in this tournament since 2023. Less than a week later, Binghamton wrestles in the David H. Lehman '68 Franklin & Marshall Open on Friday, Jan. 8 at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa.
 
After that, the Bearcats turn their attention to dual season. Binghamton will wrestle in nine duals, three at home and six on the road, with six being against opponents from the EIWA, including all five schools competing against the Bearcats in the league's Independence Division. During that stretch, Binghamton hosts Bucknell, Sacred Heart and Cornell.
 
"We are especially excited about our EIWA Independence Division dual schedule," said LeBlanc. "Every conference matchup will test our team, and our crossover dual with Bucknell adds another high-quality opponent to an already competitive slate. We believe this schedule will challenge our team, create exciting opportunities for our fans and help us continue elevating Binghamton Wrestling on the national stage."
 
Binghamton first returns to Lancaster, Pa., on Friday, Jan. 15 to wrestle Franklin & Marshall. Then, on Sunday, Jan. 17, Binghamton faces Drexel in Philadelphia, Pa.
 
Binghamton's first doubleheader of the season takes place the following week on Sunday, Jan. 24. That day, the Bearcats travel to go against a pair of Ivy League opponents, as Binghamton wrestles Harvard in Cambridge, Mass., and Brown in Providence, R.I.
 
Binghamton returns home on Saturday, Jan. 30 to host Bucknell at 5:30 p.m. It will be the first meeting between the two teams since Feb. 8, 2020. A week later, on Saturday, Feb. 6, Binghamton hosts Sacred Heart at 5:30 p.m.
 
The Bearcats' final doubleheader of the season is on Saturday, Feb. 13, taking place on Long Island. That day, Binghamton competes against Hofstra and LIU.
 
The home finale for the Bearcats is on Friday, Feb. 19 when Binghamton takes on Cornell at 6 p.m. Later that weekend, in a final tune-up before the postseason, Binghamton will have wrestlers competing in the Patriot Last Chance Open at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., on Sunday, Feb. 21.
 
The 2027 EIWA Championships will be held at Army West Point in West Point, N.Y., from March 5-6. Then, the season concludes with the 2027 NCAA Division I Men's Wrestling Championships, which takes place from March 18-20 at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Mo.
 
LeBlanc looks to build on his first season at Binghamton in 2025-26, when he sent Carter Baer and Mikey Squires to nationals. Baer is one of 21 returners on this season's team. Joining them are seven newcomers, including two high-profile transfers from LeBlanc's previous team, The Citadel in Carson DesRosier (141 lbs.) and Thomas Snipes (165 lbs.) Snipes qualified for nationals in each of the previous two seasons, while DeRosier reached nationals in 2025.
 
Baer, DesRosier, Snipes and Carson Wagner have each appeared in the national preseason rankings. The rankings for each wrestler are as follows:
