VESTAL, N.Y.- The Binghamton volleyball team hosts Cornell on Tuesday, October 11. The non-conference match is slated for a 7 p.m. start at the West Gym.

Binghamton has an 8-10 record this season. It dropped a pair of America East road contests over the weekend, falling at Stony Brook and then UMBC. Freshman
Lauren Kornmann totaled 27 points in the two outings, including 18.5 points at Stony Brook on October 7.
Sarah Ngo recorded her sixth double-double of 2016 with 35 assists and 11 digs in the match against the Seawolves.

Cornell sports a 6-8 record this year. It split two Ivy League matches at home last weekend. The Big Red took down Penn, 3-2, on October 7, as Alyssa Phelps put up 49 assists and 19 digs to lead the team. The next day, Cornell was swept by Princeton. Kiley McPeek posted 14 digs in the defeat.

The Bearcats top the America East with 1.64 aces per set. Sophomore
Gaby Alicea leads the conference with 0.43 aces per frame this year.
Bailey Walker ranks second in the league with 285 digs, while Ngo is third in assists with 581 in 18 matches.

Cornell stands second among Ivy League programs in assists per set (12.28), kills per set (12.93), and blocks per set (2.04) this season. Carla Sganderlla paces the conference with 0.50 aces per game.

Binghamton has won five of the last eight meetings between the programs. Cornell took a four-set decision from BU last season.
