Kaelan Haag posted 44 assists and 17 digs in her first career start at setter. Binghamton won the opener and then took the fourth game, but the Big Red pulled out a 15-9 victory in the fifth frame.Â
New Hampshire won a pair of America East contests last weekend, going on the road to defeat Hartford and UMass Lowell in four sets apiece. Keelin Severtson, Demi Muses, and Emily Tanski each won America East weekly honors following their performances in the wins.
The Bearcats have an 8-11 record, including a 2-3 conference mark. Kornmann leads the team with 225 points, while
Bailey Walker has a team-high 306 digs.
Sarah Ngo, who sat out Tuesday's match, has dished out 581 assists in her 18 matches this year.Â
The Wildcats are 11-8 overall and 4-0 in the America East. Tanski, a freshman, has put 226 points. Muses has tallied 225 points on .304 hitting. Severtson has logged 726 assists in 19 starts. UNH has won three straight America East Championships entering 2016.
The teams last met in the America East Championship semifinals in November. UNH won, 3-1, in a tight contest at Lundholm Gymnasium. Ngo recorded 41 assists and 24 digs, while
Gaby Alicea compiled 21 points and 14 digs for the Bearcats.
